About Me

It’s all in the name.

Dahlia is more than just a flower. It symbolizes the charm, inner strength, creativity and virtue of one who holds true to his or her morals. I’ve been through a lot in my short years here on earth but I have always been committed to dancing in the rain and drying off by the rays of the sun.

New York born and bred, I moved to North Carolina a few years back to slow down and smell the fragrances of life- New York really is the city that never sleeps and you have to have the stamina of the energizer bunny just to make your way to the local coffee shop. Seriously. Starting The Blog Dahlia is sort of like my mental retail therapy. My way of interacting with the world around me and debunking the introvert (or the most non-festive person in the world, as my son so blatantly puts it) label that has been set upon me. Ok, I might want to keep the introvert part. Is there such a thing as a social introvert? Is it socially acceptable to invite you to my blog but not to my house? Or to only want to hang out at the online mall and grab a bite of delivery? Decisions decisions…
